Every Friday I try to post my favourites links to cool content and tools that I’ve found or had recommended to me.
Cool stuff I’ve found this week, ending 7th December, 2012.
- DownrightNow – You know the feeling: you’re happily using one of your favourite web sites when, all of a sudden, you’re interrupted by an error message. It can be frustrating. Is there a bug in the web site, or is your Internet provider acting up again? Where can you turn to find out if others are having the same problem? Downright now provides the answer by showing you whether the web-site or service is down for just you, or everyone else too. Thanks to James Kimbley of Kimbley Computer Services for the link!
- Social Contacts for Outlook – Microsoft Outlook contacts lacks some key fields to store information about people, such as their Social Media details. This Add-In from Outlook AppIns extends Outlook to enable you to store contacts Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and many more details.
- StickNFind – Bluetooth powered ultra-small location stickers. Stick to your Keys, remote controls, even your children and pets – and then track them with an Android or iPhone device. Ingenious! Has already surpassed it’s goal at IndieGoGo, so will be going into production by next March. Thanks to Matt Barton at Ostrich IT for highlighting this cool tech!
Any cool content or tools to share with me? Contact me and I if I feature them in my blog, I’ll be sure to give you credit!
Have a great weekend!
