Weoley Castle under Snow!

I’ve arrived back in Birmingham from my trip to the North-West to find a spot of snow has fallen!

Here’s the view from the bedroom window overlooking Weoley Castle this morning.

All I can say is, it’s days like this when I’m thankful for the ability to work remotely on customer systems, the lack of a need to commute, and Central Heating! :-)

  1. Tried to make this post using Windows Live Writer – but came across it’s first error. "Network Connection – Error attempting to connect to weblog at: The request was aborted: The request was canceled.". Have seen this error on a few other blogs, but no solutions. Anyone else come across it? Ric.

  2. Thanks to my Vista weather gadget, I was alerted to snow falling in Redditch late Wednesday. This time last week, both Texas and Redditch were on equal footing, temp-wise, yesterday there was a near-forty degree difference! Wrap up warm England!

  3. Rich,  I’m surprise the snow as settled in Weoley Castle – I thought all the heat from all the burning car wrecks (due to teenage joyriders) and burning oil drums on each corner (with accompaning group of hobo’s) would guarantee any snow melted.  ;-)

  4. ahhh snow. Haven’t seen that since I left the fair shores of Blighty. Makes me all nostalgic as I rub on the sun cream :)

  5. Chris, you paint a lovely picture of rural Weoley Castle <grin>. I’ve looked out the window this evening, and after more heavy snow it’s a Winter Wonderland here in Weoley – as seen in the third picture I’ve just uploaded!
