I’ve written before on how impressed I’ve been with CompTIA UK since I became acquainted with the group last year, so I’ll be one of the CompTIA members attending their Annual EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Asia) Conference at The Radisson Edwardian Hotel, London Heathrow, on 20th to 21st October 2010.
The CompTIA EMEA Member Conference brings together more than 300 industry executives to network, collaborate and gain insight into the latest new technologies and business trends to provide attendees with new ways to grow their businesses.
Last year, James Caan from the Dragons Den was the keynote speaker, and this year, Explorer and Mount Everest conqueror Sir Ranulph Fiennes will keynote the Conference!
Sir Ranulph Fiennes, is a British adventurer and holder of several endurance records.
Fiennes served in the British army for eight years including a period on counter-insurgency service while attached to the army of the Sultanate of Oman. He later undertook numerous expeditions and was the first person to visit both the north and south poles by surface means and the first to completely cross Antarctica on foot. In May 2009, at the age of 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest.
According to the Guinness Book of World Records he is the world’s greatest living adventurer.

As well as Fiennes keynote, two of the best known and respected members of the global SMB IT Community will also be speaking!
Susanne Dansey, the Managing Director of Purple Cow Ideas Management, and “Mr. Virtualization” himself, Dave Sobel of Washington, DC based Evolvetech, will be taking to the stage to present.
Both Susanne and Dave have had a genuinely huge influence on my own career as an SMB IT Business owner, so I’m looking forward to seeing their presentations!
