This forum posting at MoneySavingExpert.com describes how you can bag yourself 30 minutes free Wi-Fi access at any Wetherspoons pub in the UK with the purchase of a cheap (and it’s Wetherspoons, so it will be cheap!) drink.
As JD Wetherspoons pubs are now just about everywhere in the UK, you should never be far from a Wi-Fi connection!
Ridiculously expensive Wi-Fi access in Coffee Houses and Hotels is one of my pet peeves, so I take every opportunity to help publicise lower cost methods of helping people getting that ‘net connection whilst out and about without having to break the bank!
What’s more, having an excuse (“I’m just off down the pub to research this report…”) to pop into the boozer for a little drink can’t be bad eh?

Thanks Rich I posted a little while back about my annoyance about costly wireless. I'm glad this sort of thing surfaces from time to time! I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for more places to get access at a reasonable price!
