Every Friday I share one of my favourite finds of the week — a website, tool or an app that has impressed me.
My Friday Favourite this week is Quick PDF Scanner – Scan and Digitise Paper from Your Smartphone.
What is it?
How can it help me?
I’m a big fan of the “paperless” home and office. As someone who travels a lot, I prefer documents available to me electronically from anywhere in the world.
I use the Quick PDF Scanner app to quickly scan in paper documents such as bills, invoices, receipts, instructions and then store them in Evernote or Google Drive. The app allows you to share scanned documents to a variety of sources for storage and retrieval.
Quick PDF Scanner not only does a great job of scanning the document from your Smartphone camera but also digitises the document via Optical Character Recognition (OCR) so that the resulting PDF file is also searchable.
How much does it cost?
Quick PDF Scanner is a free app, supported by in-app adverts. There is a paid version of the app that removes the advertising and adds additional functionality.
How can I get it?
Download Quick PDF Scanner from the Google Play store.
