When asked, the top piece of advice I'd give to any IT business owner is "Don't try to do this alone".

The growth of my Managed Service Provider (MSP) business was dramatically accelerated thanks to the advice, guidance and help that was shared by my peers at local meetups. By sharing my challenges and hearing advice and guidance from people who had either been there, done that, or were on the same journey as me, I saved myself many hours of headaches and felt the support of a community of like minded people.

We hope that by rebooting these local user groups through the Tech Tribe, that a whole new generation of IT business owners will appreciate the old adage "A rising tide lift all boats".

Richard Tubb, The IT Business Growth Expert

Those who know, understand that the IT community is a powerful way to help you grow your own business while you help others.

The Tech Tribe Local Tribal Gatherings are a monthly peer group where Managed Service Provider (MSP) owners, MSP vendors and other IT community members get together to exchange ideas, best practices and discuss how to succeed in the world of Managed Services.

Each group lead runs their group in their own specific way, but typically, each meeting is approx 2.5 hours long, with two round-table discussions on a topic of the month, often segmented by a refreshment break (Pizza!).

There are sometimes an (optional) vendor speed session during the refreshment break, where vendors can share their latest products/tools with the group.

Everyone is encourage to be a part of the discussion, and many groups often retire to a local bar or restaurant to continue the conversation after the meeting.

Thanks to our generous sponsors at Pax8 UK, there is no charge to attend these user group meetings.

As a result of the COVID-19 panedemic and other restrictions, many groups are limited in the number of attendees they can accommodate.

Therefore, we’d encourage you to reach out to the group leads directly and reserve your spot at the meeting.

Absolutely not! These meetings are open to everyone in the MSP community — Tribers and Non-Tribers alike.

Absolutely! Vendors are a huge part of the MSP community, and we encourage vendors to attend these meetings.

However, the meetings are a “pitch free” zone, so please come with the attitude of adding value, rather than selling to the room.

Anything you want, related to running a Managed Service Provider (MSP) business!

Some topics we regular cover include:-

  • Pricing/Packaging your MSP Plans
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Cybersecurity Stacks
  • PSA Tools
  • Mergers / Acquisitions
  • People / Hiring / Staff
  • Service Delivery
  • Working with Virtual Assistants
  • Outsourcing

… and many more.

There’s no catch!

Both myself and the illustrious leader of the Tech Tribe, Nigel Moore, built and sold MSP businesses that thrived because of local user groups.

This is our way of giving back and helping a new generation of IT business owners to experience the power of community.

The IT industry is unique in that so called competitors will actively help one another.

It’s our belief that there are enough clients for everyone, and that by working together, we can raise the IT industry to new levels of excellence.

Absolutely! We have plans to launch new community groups in Europe, Australia and North America.

If you’d like to be notified of a new group near you, when they happen, contact Richard Tubb to be added to the waiting list.
